Getting In The Mood

So your man has popped The Question and your head is filled to bursting with ides for your Big Day - now what? You start looking through magazines, surfing the interwebs and asking advice of your friends... But what do you do once you've gathered everything together?

Why not make a mood board?

A mood board, or an inspiration board, for those out there who think I'm speaking Greek, is a collection of images that a bride finds beautiful or inspiring.  It can be the ideas themselves, the colours, whatever tickles you pink really!  The idea is to have all the images displayed easily in one place, to build a collage of what you hope to achieve for your wedding day.  It can be a great help when deciding on theme, colours, and all the other extraneous aesthetics.  It becomes clearer what will work and what won't, and helps a bride or her planner to eliminate those elements which may pose problems.

For those of you out there who are planning your wedding, a mood board will become your best friend!  Take it along to your florist, your stationer, your dress designer, and anyone else who may need a visual aid to assist them in the design of your wedding!

There is no right or wrong when it comes to inspiration boards - you have space and freedom to play and explore all the options your mind can conjure!  Make it simple and structured, or casual and fun, the possibilities are literally endless!

For those of you who are interwebs-bound (or, like me, are just addicted to Pinterest), check out Wedding Wire!  It has a great inspiration board building tool and a huge cache of pictures to get you started!  Or you can upload your own.  All the inspiration boards in this post I made using the program, so I think it really speaks for itself!

Until next time, happy clipping!
Peace and Love!
